Also Known As

5-AMQ · 5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium

Overview

5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase) inhibitor. Promotes NAD+ production, enhances fat metabolism, and supports weight loss. One of the few oral peptide-like compounds.

Mechanism of Action

Inhibits NNMT enzyme which normally depletes NAD+ and promotes fat storage. Increases NAD+ availability and activates sirtuins.

Quick Reference

Common Dose 50-150mg
Frequency 1x daily (oral)
Half-Life ~4-7 hours
Storage Store at room temperature. Oral capsule formulation.

Notes

Not a true peptide but often grouped with peptide therapies. Oral bioavailability makes it unique. Experimental compound.
