Overview
GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide and ghrelin receptor agonist. First GHS to be introduced clinically. Approved in Japan as diagnostic agent for GH deficiency.
Mechanism of Action
Agonist of ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). Stimulates GH secretion from the pituitary with less appetite stimulation than GHRP-6.
