Overview
Anamorelin is a non-peptide, orally active ghrelin receptor agonist. Approved in Japan for cancer cachexia. Stimulates appetite, increases lean body mass, and promotes GH release.
Mechanism of Action
Selective agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). Centrally penetrant. Increases GH, IGF-1, and appetite.
