Also Known As

GnRH · LHRH · Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone · Factrel · Lutrepulse

Overview

Gonadorelin is identical to the natural hypothalamic hormone GnRH. Used clinically for fertility treatment and to assess pituitary function.

Mechanism of Action

Binds to GnRH receptors in the pituitary, stimulating release of LH and FSH. Pulsatile administration maintains sensitivity.

Quick Reference

Common Dose 50-100mcg
Frequency 1-2x daily or pulsatile
Half-Life ~10-40 minutes
Storage Refrigerate reconstituted.

Notes

Pulsatile dosing mimics natural release. Continuous dosing causes downregulation.
