Also Known As
Long R3 IGF-1 · Long Arginine 3-IGF-1 · LR3-IGF-1
Overview
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83 amino acid synthetic analog of IGF-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and 13 additional N-terminal amino acids. These modifications reduce IGFBP binding and extend half-life to 20-30 hours, making it approximately 3x more potent than native IGF-1.
Mechanism of Action
Binds IGF-1 receptor with high affinity. Reduced binding to IGFBPs increases free circulating levels. Promotes protein synthesis, glucose uptake, and cell proliferation.
