Overview

Oxytocin is a 9 amino acid peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus. Known as the "love hormone" for its role in social bonding, trust, and emotional connection. Also used medically for labor induction.

Mechanism of Action

Binds to oxytocin receptors in the brain and peripheral tissues. Modulates social behavior, stress response, and uterine contractions.
