Also Known As
Copper Peptide · Copper Tripeptide-1 · GHK Copper
Overview
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. Found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. Levels decline with age from ~200ng/ml at age 20 to ~80ng/ml at age 60.
Mechanism of Action
Modulates gene expression affecting collagen synthesis, antioxidant response, and tissue remodeling. Strong affinity for copper(II) ions enhances bioavailability.
