Also Known As

Copper Peptide · Copper Tripeptide-1 · GHK Copper

Overview

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. Found in human plasma, saliva, and urine. Levels decline with age from ~200ng/ml at age 20 to ~80ng/ml at age 60.

Mechanism of Action

Modulates gene expression affecting collagen synthesis, antioxidant response, and tissue remodeling. Strong affinity for copper(II) ions enhances bioavailability.

Quick Reference

Common Dose 1-2mg
Frequency 1x daily
Half-Life ~30-60 minutes
Storage Refrigerate reconstituted. Protect from light.

Notes

Also used topically for skin. Short half-life may require multiple daily doses for systemic effects.
