Overview

MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a 24 amino acid C-terminal peptide derived from IGF-1 (IGF-1Ec splice variant). Expressed immediately after muscle damage or mechanical stress. Activates satellite cells and initiates local repair.

Mechanism of Action

Activates muscle satellite cells and promotes proliferation. Upregulates protein synthesis locally at damage sites. Works through IGF-1 receptor-independent pathways.

Quick Reference

Common Dose 100-200mcg
Frequency 1x daily (post-workout, site-specific)
Half-Life ~5-7 minutes
Storage Refrigerate reconstituted. Very unstable - use immediately after reconstitution.

Notes

Extremely short half-life limits systemic effects. PEG-MGF version extends half-life to 48-72 hours. Site-specific injection preferred.
